Prada enters the world of high jewelry
Even Prada lands in luxury jewelry: in the last few weeks, in fact, both in the boutiques and in the company e-store, it is possible to buy the first collection signed by Prada and which includes gold jewelery alongside the already present bijoux of the maison.
The jewels are all made in 18-karat gold with diamonds from suppliers with Rjc certification - Responsible Jewelry Council, the non-profit organization founded in 2015 and which promotes the adoption of responsible practices from an ethical, social and environmental point of view, respecting human rights, from the extraction to the sale of metals and precious stones.
"The workmanship - affirm Prada - involves multiple meticulous steps and uses accurate artisan techniques. From the precision casting for gold treatment, to the use of the numerical control machine and the drawing for cutting diamonds, up to the creation of the other elements.
These are processes that combine traditional knowledge and mastery in the sector with technological innovation, together with the objective of giving each piece a flawless quality ”.
The protagonists of the collation are guitars, roses, rabbits, robots, bananas and the well-known triangular logo, all of which are in gold and diamonds. They are the subjects that retrace the history of the brand through earrings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces, among the historical ones of Prada that alternate with those of the newer collections.
