Franco Cologni

Director of Compagnie Financière Richemont International SA

Graduated in Arts and Philosophy at the Cattolica University in Milan, he is the author of many publications on the history of theatre, luxury and art, and the promoter of various editorial projects. Since 2008 he has been the Editor in Chief for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Yearbook and the “Mestieri d’Arte” magazine. In 1995 he founded the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, to safeguard and promote the craftsmanship patrimony. He was President of Cartier International and since 2000, he has been the Executive President of the jewellery and watch-making sector for the Richemont Group. He is currently the Non-Executive Director and member of the Nominations Committee for Compagnia Financière Richemont SA. He was President of the International High Watch-making Foundation and is currently President of the Cultural Committee. He founded and presides over the Milan Creative Academy, an international school of design and creative management belonging to the Richemont Group.

Silvana Annicchiarico

Director of the Triennale Design Museum

As an architect, she carries out research, critic, didactic and professional activities. She has been the Director of the Triennale Design Museum in Milan since 2007. From 1998 to 2007 she was the Curator of the Permanent Collection of Italian Design at the Triennale Museum in Milan, since 2002 she has been a member of the Scientific Committee for the design area and from 1998 to 2004, she taught at the Industrial Design Degree Course at the Politecnico University of Milan. From 1998 to 2001, she was the Vice-Editor of the monthly design magazine Modo. She is currently collaborating with various newspapers and radio stations.

Alba Cappellieri

Jewellery Design Professor Milan Polytechnic

Professor of Jewellery Design and President of the Fashion Design Course at the Politecnico University of Milan, she deals with jewellery and its cross fertilisation with design, fashion and arts. She has organised international exhibitions that have changed the perception of contemporary jewellery. She collaborates with national and international brands coordinating research on jewellery innovation. Together with her students, she founded the www.jewelleryscape.it blog, a reference point for the digital gold community.

Clare Phillips

Curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London

Clare Phillips is a Curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Her publications include ‘Jewelry: from Antiquity to the Present’ (1996, translated into Italian 2003) and ‘Jewels and Jewellery’ (2000 and 2008). She curated ‘Bejewelled by Tiffany’ at the Gilbert Collection, Somerset House, London (2006) and edited the major publication accompanying the exhibition. She was part of the team that created the V&A’s new Jewellery Gallery in 2008, and contributed the jewellery aspect to the V&A's major exhibitions and books ‘Art Nouveau 1890 – 1914’ (2000), ‘Art Deco 1910 – 1939’ (2003), ‘International Arts and Crafts’ (2005) and ‘The Cult of Beauty’ (2011).

Patricia Urquiola

Designer

Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain but now lives and works in Milan. She attended the Faculty of Architecture at Madrid and at the Politecnico University of Milan, where she obtained her degree in 1989. From 1990 to 1996 she was assistant to Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli at the Politecnico University of Milan and it was during these years that she managed the product development and design office for DePadova, together with Vico Magistretti. In 2001 she opened her own product design, exhibition and architecture studio. She collaborates with top producers. Patricia Urquiola has received several awards and recognitions, such as the title of Designer of the Year, Elle Decor International Design Awards, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award and the Cologne Design Prize.
